The critically acclaimed Japanese animation series literally took the media by storm. Mitsuro Kubo(writer) and Sayo Yamamoto(director) were able to successfully introduce a new form of animation and storytelling. "Yuri!!! On Ice" might be the very first animation series that shows diversity with regards to their main character and dealing with the same sex-relationship. The bond between Yuri Katsuki and Victor is often questioned but it is also clear that they have something going on.

"Yuri!!! On Ice" is fascinating, to say the least. Their originality catapulted the series as one of the best Anime Series last year. The anime series were able to garner multiple awards such as the Anime Of The Year Award in the inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Although the series is still surrounded with criticism due to the same-sex relationship angle, "Yuri!!! On Ice" resoundingly received high praise from almost everybody.

'Yuri!!! On Ice' Season 2 Update

Mitsuro Kubo, the brain of the series already confirmed in a recent interview that she wants to create season 2 already. The head writer of the series acknowledges the fact that the story between Yuri Katsuki and Victor is far from over. Yuri K’s revenge on not winning the gold medal is another plot that fans wanted to see. There’s a plan already on the sequel but there is no timetable on when will it be released.
