Super Mario Odyssey Theory: Mario's Hat Is Alive

Super Mario Odyssey is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Fans also noticed a pair of eyes pooping out of Mario's hat at the end of the trailer.

Mario's Hat Is Alive

Those pair of eyes has sparked speculations that the hat is actually a living thing. Reddit user lucamegh though believed that a magic rabbit is actually living inside the hat. Images of those mischievous creatures and the eyes in Mario's hat can be viewed here.

Magic Rabbit Theory

The poster theorized that the eyes in the head gear shares similarities with those of evil rabbits riding in an airship. The one living on top Mario's head though is believed to be one of the good guys. This magic rabbit is possibly the one responsible for giving the Italian plumber various special abilities in the game. Whoever the creature is residing underneath the hat will probably play an important role in Mario's success.

Other Theories Presented

Some Reddit users also theorized that Mario will gain new abilities from every evil Rabbit boss that he defeats in the game. Such ability is the one stored in his cap. Another commentator noticed that most of the game characters wear hats including Bowser. He believed that the hat itself is the source of Mario's powers and not the rabbits. The video preview seems to support this theory since viewers will immediately noticed a huge signboard bearing the words "Crazy Cap". All of these speculations though will all be proven or disproven once Nintendo releases more details about the Switch game title.
