Far Cry 5 Arriving This November? GameStop Listing Reportedly Leaked The Release Date

Ubisoft has not yet confirmed any updates about Far Cry 5 yet, however a GameStop listing indicates that it might be released later within the year. The game is said to be released on a Sunday, so SG Gaming communicated with a local GameStop and indicated the SKU code attached to Far Cry 5, in order to confirm whether the listing is accurate or not at all.

GameStop listing indicated the Nov. 26, 2017 release date. But if it will be looked into closely, November 26 falls on a Sunday. On the contrary, games would usually come out on Tuesdays and sometimes on Fridays. Ubisoft's big games would not usually have a Sunday release, however this could just be a placeholder date but typically it will fall on Dec. 31.

A GameStop employee made a confirmation that the SKU codes that were attached to Far Cry 5 is true, and that GameStop had lined the game for its November 2017 release. According to the reply of two separate emails for GameStop's support department, Far Cry 5 for the PS4 is still out of stock and there is no guarantee if more stocks will be available from the vendor. Gamestop was not able to give further information through phone or email, according to WCCF Tech.

The said information is not truly reliable. But if this is true, there is a possibility that it will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The latest installment of Far Cry which is the Far Cry Primal was released last February 2016 after it was confirmed for release in October 2015. On the other hand, Ubisoft VP of Editorial Tommy Francois said that there is a possibility of a new Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games in 2017. This is for the reason that they have to ensure all new games will be polished and would be of good quality as possible.
