Fido Starts Updating Motorola RAZR To Jelly Bean, Have You Got The Update?

Motorola launched the RAZR XT910 handset in October 2011 and now the Rogers version is getting the Jelly Bean 4.1 software update.

"Reports from readers today reveal that Android OS 4.1.2 Jelly Bean has arrived for Fido users who are rocking the original Motorola RAZR (XT910). The file size is about 250MB and it should be there waiting for you: press Menu >> Settings >> About phone >> System software updates >> Check now," reports Mobile Syrup.

Google released the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in July 2012 and Nexus 7 was the first device to run on the software. Later on, Google started releasing the software update to various smartphones and tablets. The software update brings various enhancements and bug fixes. The update brings "Project Butter" to the device, which provides a smoother user interface.

A software update is expected to bring enhancements and improvements to devices; however, some updates don't go as planned and after updating, many consumers think that they should have not opted for a software update.

Canadian carrier Rogers recently released Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to Motorola RAZR. The update was supposed to bring enhancements to the Motorola smartphone; however, many users are reporting problems after they installed the software update.

"Got the update on my droid razr. Can no longer USB TETHER, now have to pah another 30$ a month for that feature. Also phone will not charge when its powered on. DO NOT UPGRADE. And internet is slow and annoying,"complained a user on iTech Post after installing Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update on a Motorola handset.

Have you received the Jelly Bean update on your Fido Motorola RAZR X910? Have you faced any issues after installing the update?
