iPhone 6: What Will It Cost?

The iPhone 6 isn't even out yet, hasn't even been officially announced yet by Apple, may not even be the next iPhone iteration on the way from the company, and yet here we are, all talking about it nearly non-stop.

"iPhones are sometimes criticized for being very heavy on pockets & this is a reason why anti-iPhone people stay away from adopting it as their Gadgety companion," iPhone 6 News & Updates says. (And, yes, there's already an entire site devoted to the phone that doesn't yet exist.)

iPhone 6 News & Updates goes on to remind us that Apple released its last few iPhone iterations with a standard $199/$299/$399 for the 16GB/32GB/64 GB variants. The site believes that, by this "formula," we might be able to assume the iPhone 6 will come out in the same price range.

That is, because of what we also "know" about the iPhone 6 needing to be something super-special, due to the disappointment of the iPhone 5 (and rumors abounding that Steve Jobs himself might have had something to do with its design), unless it's such a super-fantastic device, Apple will have no choice but to charge a little extra this time round.

The iPhone 6 may be more expensive thanks to such possible features as the flexible/bendable display we're starting to hear about for other forthcoming devices.

"The unique feature will surely attract ques [sic] of people outside Apple stores to get their hands on this Revolutionary iPhone 6 & Apple can cash up iLovers desperation by adding at-least extra $50 to iPhone price," iPhone 6 News & Updates says.

There's a further possibility that, because the iPhone 4S was upgraded with a 64GB variant (double that of the previous iPhone 4's 32GB), the iPhone 6 may rock an incredible 128GB variant. Incredible in that it would be quite the coup for Apple and for iPhone lovers alike. But also incredible because it would mean, obviously, a higher price for the iPhone 6.

"Be ready iPhone lovers for 128 GB for the price of $499 with two year cellular contract," iPhone 6 News & Updates says.

"Apart from these factors, Price for the contract free iPhone 6 will be much higher than With Cellular Contract iPhone 6," iPhone 6 News & Updates concludes. "So a 128 GB bendable iPhone 6 could cost around $549 & $929 ($549 + $380 extra as the case is with latest iPhone 5 T-Mobile contract free offer) with contract & contract free respectively."

InEntertainment believes that the price of the iPhone 6 may also be affected by its possibly coming with a Super HD screen, in addition to the rumored 128GB, which this site discusses as being a part of the possible price hike of the iPhone 6 as well.

The site also speaks about Apple's previous price "formula" for releasing its phones, but due to what it refers to as "a growing market," InEntertainment surmises that the iPhone 6 may also have a price increase for this reason in order to compete.

Though the 16GB variant of the iPhone 6 might see a price drop, as there has been some discussion of the variant being universally phased out by mobile manufacturers in general, InEntertainment sees the 32GB iPhone 6 going for an approximate £529 ($815), the 64GB iPhone 6 going for £599 ($920) and the alleged 128GB iPhone 6 going for £699 ($1,075).

If these price guesses seem a bit too high for you, there are also our trusty friends over at PricesInIndia.net ("trusty" for giving us the wackiest in price estimations and rumors-as-facts on devices from the iPhone 6 to the also-yet-to-be-released Xbox 720 and PS4). The site believes, with no substantiation whatsoever, that the iPhone 6 will be $200 (at least for the 16GB variant). No mention is made on the site about other variants of the iPhone 6.
