'Lego Batman' Expected To Bunk Off 'Fifty Shades Darker' From The Top Of The Box Office Charts

Lego Batman film, which is derived from the 2014 film The Lego Movie, is due to hit theaters this Friday, February 10, 2017. Lego Batman's plot revolves around the measures taken by Cape Crusader in protecting Gotham City from criminals and also the responsibilities he [Bruce] has in raising a boy he adopted.

"Batman" Still Number 1 At The Box Office

Lego Batman, directed by the critically acclaimed director Chris McKay is a 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film produced by Warner Animation Group and DC Entertainment. The film's focal point is the DC Comics character, Batman.

The film features the voices of famous stars such as that of William Emerson Arnett as the lead "Batman" , Zach Galifianakis as "The Joker", Michael Cera as Batman's sidekick "Robin", Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon or more famously known as "Batgirl" and Ralph Fiennes as the voice of "Alfred Penneworth". The anticipation of the film is greatly rising as the weekend approaches.

According to some reports, the film is believed to be number one at the box office for not less that the next two weeks, with an opening weekend earnings that range from $64 million to $70 million this weekend.

Fifty Shades Darker Potentially Earning Under $40 Million On The First Three Days

As a result, the erotic thriller "Fifty Shades Darker", sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey,"starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan reprising their roles as the lead act is deemed to get a striking hit as the film is only expected to bag under $40 million on its first three days, Universal claimed. Some reports have also claimed that although the opening weekend of the romantic drama falls on Valentine's Day, soft trailing of the film might mean that the spark of "Fifty Shades" is gone already.

"John Wick Chapter 2" is also scheduled to open in over 3,000 locations this weekend. The film starring Keanu Reeves is deemed to be in third place at the box office charts and is also expected to bag $19 million to $22 million on its opening weekend.
