Amidst the talks about his new movie called "Infinity War," Captain America himself, Chris Evans, shocked the world when it was revealed that he and Jenny Slate are no longer together.

Evans And Slate Ended Their 9 Month Relationship

Apparently, even Captain America has some setbacks this year. A lot of people really thought that Chris Evans and Jenny Slate will be the next power couple but it didn’t happen. After 9 months of dating, the two artists call it quits. It was a shocker for most of the fans, especially for Chris since there was no rumors or proof that their relationship was on the rocks. Not until Super Bowl LI when Evans was seen alone without Slate by her side.

'Gifted' Is Where Their Relationship Started

Evans and Slate first met last 2015 when they were working on a drama film called “Gifted”. Members of the crew noticed their closeness and their chemistry but neither of them confirmed it at that time. Last March, the two were spotted on a double date with Chris’ brother. Although there were no steamy or hot pictures of them together, E! News stated that they acted and looked like a couple.

Jenny shared that she was scared and hesitant to meet Chris at first. She added that meeting Chris was like meeting a superhero - he is tall, muscular and he’s Captain America. Meanwhile, Evans describes Slate as her girl version and was very happy to meet her.

Unfortunately, those sweet moments are down in the drain. As reported earlier today, both camps confirmed that their relationship is formally over. It was described by one of Evans’ friend that the breakup was not dramatic and there’s a mutual respect between the two.
