'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8, Episode 13 Spoilers: Kai And Katherine Returns? Bonnie In Trouble; Elena Coming Back Soon?

An evil from the past will be coming back in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 13. Spoilers revealed that Damon and Alaric will face Kai. Meanwhile, Bonnie will get in danger in the hands of Cade. This storyline will soon lead to Elena's comeback in the series.

The official synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 13 via Spoiler TV revealed that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) will acquire a weapon which might potentially destroy Cade (guest star Wolé Parks). However, they will soon come face to face with an old enemy. The promo for episode 13 shows their unexpected meeting. "How the hell are you here?" Damon asks Kai who is smiling maniacally.

"I'll help you kill Cade," Kai tells the two. He seems to be planning something. Alaric replies they can kill Cade without his help and begins to attack him. Kai offers to bring back Elena (Nina Dobrev) and that seals the deal for Damon who says "Okay" without making a double take. There was also a scene of Kai talking to what looked like Elena's casket. "Hi sleepy head, remember me?" he says. Kai was the one responsible for Elena's sleeping spell, linking her life to Bonnie.

On the other hand, Bonnie will be in danger due to Cade. He will focus on digging deep into Bonnie's mind while Caroline (Candice King) and Matt (Zach Roerig) will try to keep Stefan's (Paul Wesley) past from destroying him. The synopsis reveals Stefan will be imprisoned by a shocking acquaintance which will force him to face his violent past. There are speculations that this "acquaintance" might be Katherine. The rumors rooted from George and Katherine's similar manner of death which "The Vampire Diaries" EP Julie Plec revealed wasn't coincidental.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 13 titled "The Lies Will Catch Up to You" will air on Friday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
