Finally, the much-anticipated tournament has started. The very first fight of the Universal Survival Tournament Started with Universe 7's Majin Buu, fighting against Universe 9’s The Kicker, Basil. Basil made the first move, but will he beat Majin Buu?

Universal Survival Arc Rules As Per The Grand Priest

Before they started the fight, The Grand Priest laid out the rules of the tournament first according to the Omni-King. The tournament will be one on one with no time limit. The fight will only be stopped when the fighters cannot continue anymore or the fighter has admitted his defeat. There are no rewards on whoever wins the match. However, if they lose or if the future Omni-King gets bored in the fight, there’s a possibility that he will stop the match and eradicate the losing Universe.

Universe 9’s Basil The Kicker With The First Move

Basil was so excited for the fight he stepped in first in the arena with no hesitations. As for Universe 7’s Majin Buu, well, he fell asleep. Everybody in the Universe team tried to wake him up but in a true Majin Buu fashion, he woke up when he smelled a chocolate bar. Majin Buu then ascends to the arena and instructed by Gohan and Mr. Satan to play with Basil.

Basil didn’t waste any time as he kicked Majin Buu to the gut and showed everybody why he is called the kicker. Basil continued his rampage which knocks Majin Buu down. However, Majin Buu seems to like what Basil did to him. He smirked when he was lying down as if stating that he is ready. The other clips also showed that the entire ring is almost destroyed with Majin Buu standing. Buu suffered some scratches as visibly seen but this doesn’t imply that Basil is already out.

As noted, Basil is a member of Trio Of The Dangers and it would take maximum effort from Majin Buu to defeat him. Tune in next week as Toei Animation might reveal the result of the very first match in the Universal Survival Tournament.
