The Fire Emblem franchise is on fire, indeed, as Nintendo continues to boost up the series' titles this year. The latest entry to its roster 'Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia' is slated to release this May. And as it approaches its release date, Nintendo gives us a small preview of the game.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia Is A Beautiful Remake

'Shadow of Valentia' was originally called 'Fire Emblem Gaiden' and was first released by Nintendo for the Famicom on March 14, 1992. It will be the 3rd remake of the series after the two titles 'Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon' and 'Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem.'

Like it's original version, 'Echoes' narrative will take place on Valentia. The protagonists of the story will be Alm and Celica. Players will follow them again to a war-torn continent made by two countries: Rigel and Zofia. Other than the two, old characters from the original game will also make their way to the remake.

'Echoes' will also feature mechanics from the original games. Siliconera shares that the remake will feature good character progressions, enemy-filled dungeons, and free roaming.

The new english screenshots give fans a little glimpse of this beautiful remake. Screenshots from the Nintendo website features a small translated dialogue from Saber, class stats, Celica fighting an enemy and much more.
