Nioh Winning Strategy: Using Magic To Easily Beat The Tough Bosses

Many Nioh players find the game quite a challenge that it's considered by critics as more difficult than Dark Souls 3. Fortunately, some veterans managed to find a way to easily beat the tough bosses using magic.

Use The Sloth Talismans

YouTube presenter Fightin Cowboy showed his Nioh winning strategy against the bosses by using Sloth Talismans. These magical items are used to slow down enemies. Players will need to unlock the Talisman first though.

How To Get And Use Sloth Talismans

Nioh players should proceed to the second region and complete the Ocean Roars Again sub-mission. Afterwards, William can now finish The Way of the Onmyo Adept Trial. Completing the trial will enable players to produce at least two Sloth Talismans once they prayed at a shrine. William will need to have at least six Onmyo Magic points before he can use the Talismans and using it will cost five Jutsu.

Soulstones For Living Weapon Mode

Nioh veteran player PowerPxy presented his own Nioh winning strategy in defeating the game's bosses. This time, players will have to spam Soulstones to prolong the use of the Living Weapon State.

Players could not pull this mode as often as they want and it will last only for a short time. Soulstones though can help players quickly recover their Living Weapon state gauge. This strategy does have some drawbacks. First, Soulstones are rare items. Players will also need to wisely use their time while in Living Weapon mode. William's HP isn't reduced if he's hit under this state but it will cause the gauge to drain much faster.

Spirit Points Help Living Weapon

Players are recommended to focus on increasing their spirit points in order to enhance their Living Weapon state. Raising the Body stat will help players increase their HP and spear damage as well. Aside from Sloth, other talismans such as Carnage and Devigorate can weaken the enemy bosses. The Clan merchant could provide William with some of these magical items.
