The best-selling Samsung phablet is extremely popular and according to Samsung, will continue to enjoy software update support in the future. Moreover, reports suggest that once the Note 3 rolls out, the Note 2 will become cheaper.

Reason 1: Improved Premium Suite version and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean On The Way

Recently, reports claimed that U.S. carrier Verizon was on track to bump up the Galaxy Note 2's Premium Suite, which would expand the apps that the Multi-View feature supports. Tech experts opined that the Note 2 would soon get the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

Judging by the past, the international variant of the phablet will likely get the much-awaited patch soon, which could possibly bring some of the features that Samsung introduced in its Galaxy S4.

Reason 2: Update To Key Lime Pie

Earlier this year, reports hinted that the Galaxy Note 2 was one of the few handsets in Samsung's line-up that would get updated to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. With the Google I/O knocking at the doorstep, Key Lime Pie could be closer than we think and the top-end Galaxy Note 2, with its premium features and necessary tech support, is a prime candidate.

The Galaxy Note 2 has been seeing a drop in prices with e-retailers like Amazon offering the phablet for as little as $49. Recently, AT&T even dropped the price to $10, according to a Gottabemobile report.
