Sony Superphone Honami On Its Way, What To Expect?

The smartphone space is loaded with top-end smartphones and companies are constantly updating their flagship models every year. Sony launched its flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z, in January this year and now rumors have started that the Japanese company is also working on a superphone by the name of Honami.

Honami, is supposed to be Sony's flagship smartphone for the second half of 2013 and the purported handset is expected to pack in top-end features to compete with other smartphones in the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, iPhone 5 and more.

The rumors have painted a very high image of the rumored Honami. According to a member of Baidu forums, Honami will be packed in with best Sony technologies in one phone. The Honami is alleged to sport a 5-inch full HD display and dedicated Walkman audio chip (S-Master MX Digital Amplifier).

The speculated Sony Honami is supposed to be the company's most attractive smartphone till date and will be released around July this year in Asia, followed by global release in August or September.

According Chinese website ePrice, the phone may come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, which recently went into mass production. The Honami will also reportedly pack Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 2700/ 3100mAh battery.

The website also claims that Sony Honami will feature a 20-megapixel rear camera with xenon flash. However, VR Zone claims that the handset will have a 16-megapixel camera instead of a 20-megapixel one.

VR Zone says that the Honami will boast a Triluminos display, an exclusive display technology from the Japanese manufacturer, which will be one of the best display screens currently available in any other handset.

Sony has not confirmed any information on the Honami, but if rumors are to be believed then the handset will be a compelling answer to other smartphones in its category.
