Enter the world of classic horror as the upcoming title, Daymare: 1998, aims to capture the old school feeling of terror. Invader Studios has shared a new trailer for the upcoming game showcasing its mechanics and chilling atmosphere.

Daymare: 1998 is a Nod to Old Horror Games

According to Cliqist, Invader Studios is aiming at reviving the highly-requested horror genre to the gaming industry with their latest title. The upcoming title is described as a "modernized Survival Game" as it keeps the classic features of past horror titles like Resident Evil. On the other hand, the controls are more streamlined hence its modernization.

In the game, players will have to make due with limited supplies as they face off against different creatures. Similarly, they will also have to interact with the environment to solve puzzles, find clues and seek out resources. Unlike most horror games, players will have to work with an over the shoulder camera that forces them to always look forward.

Invader Studios Releases Gameplay New Trailer

It is worth noting that while Invader Studios is relatively new, they have been working on several projects in the past - including a fan-made Resident Evil 2 game using Unreal Engine. Capcom eventually learned about the developers and invited them over to their Japan headquarters. After learning about their upcoming horror title, Capcom urged fans to support the game.

Invader Studios released a short gameplay trailer for the upcoming game which features the protagonist making his way around the in-game world. Everything is very dimly lit as players will seemingly have to stumble through the dark. Keep in mind that the trailer will not reflect the final product as the game is still under development. Moreover, PC Games N reports that the game now even has its own Kickstarter page.

Those who want to support the game can shell out some money for the Kickstarter. So far, there has been a total donation of €15,440 out of the target €180,000. Fans will have to wait for further information regarding Daymare: 1998.
