Anne Hathaway Turns Into A Monster; Wreaks Havoc In Seoul In New 'Colossal' Trailer
NEON has released the new trailer for “Colossal”, another up and coming movie that stars versatile actress Anne Hathaway. This time, she turns into a monster that wreaks havoc in the city of Seoul, South Korea. The trailer shows also that there is more story to this transformation.
The almost two-minute new trailer shows Gloria, portrayed by Anne Hathaway going through a life crisis. After losing her job and her boyfriend in New York City, she moves back to her hometown for comfort and to probably find the peace of mind she needed. Somehow during those time finding her soul in her hometown, she realizes that she is somehow connected to the humungous Kaiju that has been attacking Seoul City all of a sudden.
A kaiju means a strange beast in Japanese and Gloria realizes the connection when she saw the news of a monster going on a rampage just as the time when she did. She tries to investigate and she finds out that she is actually tied to the said monster. She can control his movements since whatever Gloria does, the monster does, and she has displayed this many times to prove that she is not losing her mind.
“Colossal” made its debut in September 2016 at the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) and it was then released at the Sundance Film Festival just last Jan. 20. The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas in the United States on April 7 this year. Aside from Hathaway, the comedy monster movie stars Dan Stevens, Jason Sudeikis, Austin Stowell, Time Blake Nelson, and Simon Pegg.
People are looking forward to the new “Colossal” movie because aside from Hathaway giving a spectacular acting of combining drama and comedy, many of those who have seen it already said that there is more to the story. And the plot twist between Gloria and the kaiju is something else. “Colossal” has won Best Feature Film at the Fantastic Fest and has been nominated at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW Film Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival.
