The latest episodes of “Naruto Shippuden” has just been aired and it finally delves into a new arc, a happy one that is. The beloved animated series heads on to tackle the events surrounding Naruto and Hinata’s wedding. The first two episodes of the wedding arc present Iruka takin on a final mission and the whole Hidden Leaf village going crazy for the preparations.

It has been revealed in “Naruto Shippuden” Episode 494 that the up and coming wedding of Naruto and Hinata will have certain rules. And one of it is to go through the wedding presents and inspect them. Kakashi decides that they will instead hold a wedding gift contest where they will decide the gifts that are good and bad. The ones who present good gifts will be able to attend the wedding reception but the ones who presented the bad ones will be put on duty to oversee the said wedding.

Everyone goes crazy thinking of the best wedding gift to give Naruto and Hinata when the Hokage gives them the mission of finding the perfect gift. But Iruka and the Hokage withheld the information from the young ninjas that the gift-giving is actually a process to determine the wedding guests. In “Naruto Shippuden” Episode 495, every one of Naruto’s friends especially Lee goes on a rampage, trying to find that one unique and heartfelt wedding gift. Lee even went out to buy and eat Naruto’s favorite ramen and even the ghost of Neji pays him a surprise visit.

Meanwhile, Iruka is busy debating in his thoughts about the upcoming advancement test while the rest of the Hidden Leaf village scurry to get the perfect wedding gift first. Iruka has been offered to take the advancement test so he can be promoted to vice principal. He decides to take the exam with the mindset that it will be the perfect gift for Naruto and his bride, which is Iruka’s progress in his career. The last episode of "Naruto Shippuden" then ends with it saying that there are 28 days left before Naruto and Hinata’s awaited wedding.
