Transgender Bathroom Regulation For Students Overturned By Trump

The recent executive orders the President of the United States authenticated has caused great distress to lots of undocumented immigrants nationwide. Now, the Trump administration is again creating massive noise as it revokes rules against transgender students.

Trump Administration Revokes The Obama Regime's Law That Protects The Rights Of Transgender Students

During the past administration's regime, there were laws created that gives students in public schools the right to choose facilities as well as bathrooms in accordance to their gender identity. However, last Wednesday night, the Trump administration withdrew these rules. This withdrawal has been strongly condemned by Civil right groups for this step may jeopardize transgender children, cause discrimination as well as cause great uncertainty over the federal government's duty in creating and imposing civil rights.

Laws Were Implemented Last May Allowing Transgender Students Use Facilities According To Gender Identity

Last May, the Federal Government released a joint direction recommending schools to let transgender students use facilities that equates to their gender identity. This law was also implemented to make sure that "transgender students enjoy a supportive and nondiscriminatory school environment" and is also stated as the Obama administration's interpretation with regards the Title IX.

"There is no room in our schools for discrimination of any kind, including discrimination against transgender students on the basis of their sex," Attorney General Loretta Lynch stated. She also added that this law was implemented to aid teachers, parents as well as administrators with the resources they need to safeguard transgender students from intimidation as well as address school policies that aren't fair.

The recent withdrawal caused negative reactions from LGBT Communities. According to the group, this is in contrast to the Trump administration's pledge to protect the LGBT community.

Why Was The Guidance Protecting Trangenders Revoked?

According to the White House, the Obama Admnistration did not provide a "comprehensive legal analysis" regarding the Title IX. In line with the withdrawal of the said guidance, the White House released a statemet which says that the President believes that the policy regarding transgender bathrooms should be decided at the state level.
