' How To Get Away With Murder' Season 4: Who's Coming Back? 'More Complicated' Story Coming

The third season of ABC's thriller series, "How to Get Away with Murder" concluded with a shocking two-hour finale revealing Wes murderer. Now, fans are anticipation for a season 4. Series showrunner Pete Nowalk dropped hints on who are returning for the next season. He added "How to Get Away with Murder" season 4 would be more complicated.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 ended with a big twist of Wes' killer. Its Laurel's dad! Fans could not have predicted it because Laurel's dad, Mr. Castillo, was not in any of the previous episodes. Here's what happened: Laurel's dad, who is a powerful man ordered a hitman, Laurel's family friend named Dominic, kill Wes. He was the man on the other side of the phone asking the hitman "Is he dead?"

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nowalk revealed that Laurel's dad being the murderer opens a whole new world to explore for the series. "Something that takes us out of Annalise's little world and puts us into [the world of] this big powerful telecommunications czar and all the power that wields," Nowalk said.

It looks like Laurel's super rich and super jerk of a dad will be a big character in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 4. The upcoming season might reveal more of Mr. Castillo's dark side that Laurel doesn't know about. Aside from Annalise and the Keating 4, he is surely one of the characters appearing in season 4.

"I think all of that is possible but really it's the Castillo family that's going to be our major world we're entering next season," Nowalk said. There's also the connection with DA Denver. Dominic knows the DA so this might mean Laurel's father is connected with the DA too. Meanwhile, fans won't miss the Mahoneys in season 4. There's also a possibility that Mr. Castillo is connected with the Mahoneys. There are speculations "How to Get Away with Murder" season 4 will air in Spring 2017.
