Huawei Reveals Ultraportable 360 Degree VR For Smartphones

Huawei has collaborated with Insta360 to work on a clip-on 360-degree smartphone camera. The company, at an event in Beijing on February 21, revealed its Honor VR Camera. JK Liu, founder, and CEO of Insta360 said, "We are thrilled to partner with Huawei to grow the global community of 360-degree and VR creators. Like us, Huawei is committed to reinventing photography, and they believe in our products as the best way to introduce users to the future of the camera."

Honor VR Camera Is Capable Of 3K Photography and Seamless Live streaming

The device is really small that it might prove to be the most portable and handy accessible 360/VR camera on the market. The clip-on 360 camera is compatible with iOS and Android platforms. Honor VR Camera can be attached to a smartphone's USB port and users will need to download the Insta360 app. Huawei 360-degree allows 3K photography and also live streaming. The Chinese smartphone will start global sales of its Honor VR Camera soon. Insta360 has developed an app for the 360-degree camera that will let users capture, share and live stream the 360-degree content. Yet, all that remains to be seen, how easy it is to operate, and the quality of the image produced.

Honor VR Camera Availability And Price

Details are still not full when it comes to the pricing or the release date of the Honor VR Camera although the company did say that it will release the clip-on accessory internationally. Huawei's could have a similar quality and pricing, so expect them to roll out roughly $200 or more. It's also uncertain what resolution the camera can shoot in, and if it will work with other smartphones or devices too, however, with Mobile World Congress coming up in a few days, hopefully, Huawei is saving the most important and full details for the event.
