Nokia Smartphones Will Go Global After Successful 'Trial' In The Chinese Market

Nokia-branded smartphones are finally getting back in the global market. After the successful "trial run" in the Chinese markets, the Nokia 6 is now ready to go global. Alongside the newly announced Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, the first Nokia from HMD Global will be made available within Q2 of 2017.

Nokia Androids Of 2017

The international variant of the Nokia 6 is pretty much the same as the China-only model. However, an Arte Black model is added to the variants. This new model is distinguished by the phone's piano black finish and a boost in memory. By boost, this means an added 1 GB in RAM and a next-level storage size. The regular models have 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage while the Arte variant has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage.

As for the price, GSM Arena says the regular Nokia 6 will have a price of around $245 while the Arte model will be priced at around $320. The lower-end Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 phones on the other hand are priced more modestly with a tag of around $200 and $150 respectively.

Nokia Goes Global After Nokia 6's Success

After being an obvious success in the Chinese market, the Nokia 6 will be made available internationally. This is big news for people across the globe who have been waiting to get their hands on a new Nokia.

When the Nokia 6 was initially released, the company did not make any promises as to the phone's international availability. However, as weeks pass by and as the phone's success has become more and more apparent, HMD Global seemed to have become more confident that its new smartphones will also do well in international markets.

Do take note that when the Nokia 6 was first put on pre-sale registrations, it got about 250,000 registrations within a day. This number even grew to millions before the actual sale-day of the device. When the Nokia 6 was finally put up for sale, it also went out-of-stock within just a minute. This goes to show that the new Nokia Android is a serious option for the consumers. However, whether or not this success is also possible internationally, fans are yet to find out.
