‘Fairy Tail Dragon Cry' Trailer, Character Designs Released; Teases Climax For Original Manga's Final Arc

Another update has been announced for the up and coming animated movie, “Fairy Tail Dragon Cry”. Its official trailer has just been released. Aside from that, the character designs have also been revealed.

The new trailer for “Fairy Tail Dragon Cry” movie featured the anime series’ main characters and gave fans a glimpse of important scenes that will determine Natsu’s fate. Being the impulsive hero that prioritizes his friends over his own life, Natsu is shown displaying immense power, probably to save his friends as Lucy tries to stop him. In the teaser, Natsu exclaimed that he did not care what happened to him—his blood, flesh, and bones. The teaser concluded that the power may either be a beacon of hope or the cause of destruction.

In addition, the trailer teased the climax of the original manga series, which has already entered its final arc, revealing parts of the manga’s storyboard. The teaser revealed that after a decade since the original manga series was serialized, creator Hiro Mashima will finally give his story the ending it deserved. It went on to reveal that that manga has sold over 60 million printed copies worldwide.

Along with the trailer, the complete official character designs for “Fairy Tail Dragon Cry” were also released, finally putting faces to the new characters that will be solely introduced in the animated movie. It revealed King Animus, Sonya, and Zash Caine completely garbed in their country’s traditional colors. These three characters are from the Stella Kingdom.

“Fairy Tail Dragon Cry” is about the Fairy Tail guild members going after these three when Zash stole the Dragon Cry from the temple to give to King Animus and in their pursuit, they cross paths with Sonya. Apparently, these three wanted to get their hands on the Dragon Cry, which is a powerful magical artifact that can destroy the world, and why they want it remains a mystery. The upcoming “Fairy Tail” movie has been slated to premiere on May 6 in Japan.
