‘Haikyuu!!' Chapters 244, 245 Spoilers: Little Giants Cross Paths; Bokuto Struggles?

The latest chapter of “Haikyuu!!” has just been released and it continues Karasuno High’s journey towards the top. The team has advanced to the second round of the Spring High National Tournament. With all the great teams gathered in one place, no doubt they’ll meet formidable players they weren’t aware of at all.

“Haikyuu!!” Chapters 243-244 Recap, Spoilers: Nekoma And Fukurodani's Matches

After Karasuno High defeated Tsubakihara Academy in the first round with just two matches, the former decided to take a break. Taking advantage of their break, the team went on ahead to meet old teammates and watch matches to gather intel on possible opponents. Nekoma High, who is Karasuno’s rival, won their first round against Kiyokawa with just two matches.

With Nekoma and Karasuno advancing to the second round, Fukurodani Academy had yet to qualify but it seems like they’re struggling because of their ace, Kotaro Bokuto. The egoistic Bokuto was in a slump because he was disappointed that his team wasn’t playing in the main arena where more people could see him play. Fukurodani’s captain had to do something and he was able to convince Bokuto that the sub-arena was more important because they were the only match playing, which means everyone had their eyes on him.

He also pointed out that Bokuto’s apprentice, Karasuno’s Hinata was watching and shouldn’t make a fool out of himself. With his resolve and wounded ego, Bokuto finally unleashes his potential and gets his game on once again. Eventually, Fukurodani won and also advanced to the second round.

“Haikyuu!!” Chapter 245 Predictions: A New Rivalry?

While Hinata and the other Karasuno players were taking a break, Hinata bumps into someone who was as short as him. “Haikyuu” Chapter 244 showed the return of Kourai Hoshiumi, the sophomore wing speaker from an unknown school. Kageyama mingled with him when both of them were invited to the All-Japan Youth Intensive Training Camp. Hoshiumi is a strong talented player and according to Kageyama, he jumps higher than Hinata.

The next chapter will most likely show the true strength of Hoshiumi and introduce his powerhouse school especially when the three qualified teams for the second round has already been divulged. Worse, his school might even be the team Karasuno will go against in the second round. Clearly, Hoshiumi will pose a threat to Hinata, which will likely be one of the factors for Hinata to grow as a volleyball player. The two little giants finally meeting means that another rivalry will be born.
