The finale of “The Vampire Diaries” is just around the corner. Though fans are saddened that the series is finally coming to end, they still can’t wait to see what’s in store in the last episode. The series has already made known that Nina Dobrev is coming back but who as exactly?
Nina Dobrev’s Return Is A Satisfying One
Nina Dobrev has mainly played the roles of the main female antagonist, Elena Gilbert and the vampire villainess, Katherine Pierce, also known as Katerina Petrova. She also played the minor roles of doppelgangers in the series then eventually Elena’s character was put to sleep and Katherine was made chief of hell. Elena has been the love interest of the Salvatore brothers but that clearly isn’t the case now.
Paul Wesley, who plays the role of Stefan Salvatore, said he never thought that Stefan and Caroline would end up together, let alone get married since Stefan had been with Elena for years. Wesley also said that in light of Dobrev’s return, it was essential because the story started with her character, who had two brothers fighting over her and not having her back in the series would be weird. He revealed that Dobrev’s return will be very satisfying that he even teared up while reading the script of the finale.
Nina Dobrev Returns As Katherine, Too?
But the production of “The Vampire Diaries” has kept fans in the dark on which Nina Dobrev character is making a comeback. But the recent episode might have just hinted that Katherine will be coming back and not Elena. During the awaited Steroline wedding, one of Katherine’s henchmen came back to wreak havoc.
Aside from that Julie Plec, creator of “The Vampire Diaries” confirmed that Katherine will return and that the main character will also die in the final episode. Katherine might just come back to pull another Elena trick and probably even kill the main character, who could be Bonnie. Bonnie’s life is linked to Elena and as long as she remains alive, Elena will remain asl
