Pokemon GO 2017 Updates Include Legendary Birds, Gym Overhaul And More

Niantic has shared even more of their plans for their Pokemon GO 2017 updates, which will finally bring in the three legendary birds. Similarly, the studio has also addressed the local gym issue and plans to give it a major overhaul.

Pokemon GO 2017 Updates To Bring In Legendary Pokemon

Niantic recently just launched the major Gen 2 update for the Pokemon mobile game but it seems like they still have a lot more things in store for players. In line with this, Bitgon reports that the game will receive multiple updates this year, which will further enhance the gameplay experience while providing new content. To begin with, Niantic CEO, John Hanke, acknowledged the fact that spoofing is a problem and the studio will be working on a way to counter this.

On the other hand, one of the major updates might finally introduce the three highly-anticipated legendary birds Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno. However, it seems like they will not be the only legendaries that will be arriving this year. With this in mind, there might be a chance that the studio will include even more rare Pokemon for players to catch.

Niantic Overhauling The Gym System

On a different note, the Pokemon gyms will see an overhaul along with the possible inclusion of trading and PvP, as per Pokemon GO Informer. It seems like Niantic was unsatisfied with the arena as it does not work the way they planned it to be. However, they have taken note that planning and coordination are both fun factors for players.

Because of this, they plan to put some more of the teamwork aspect towards the rehauled arena while giving players more incentives for participating. Overall, this would ultimately improve the said mechanic and give fans more reasons to download the game again. For now, Niantic has yet to reveal official release dates for the major Pokemon GO 2017 updates.
