"Wentworth" season 5 is set to premiere in a couple of weeks from now. teasers of the installment are already out to update the fans. The latest promo confirms previous spoilers about Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson) returning behind the bars to avenge her lover's demise. Joan Ferguson seems good as dead in the trailer as a whole batch of inmate can be seen on Allie's side.
Danielle Cormack's Bea Smith is already confirmed dead and there might be no way for her to join the cast of the show in season 5. The installment will pick up from the events after Bea's murder and Allie Novak will learn about the death of her partner when "Wentworth" comes back in April. The new trailer of "Wentworth" season 5 shows Allie already out of the hospital and back in prison. The inmate though will have to face a depressing news about Bea and will find out about her killer.
The first teaser showcased the name of Bea written on a wall with roses offered before it. Fans now confirmed that Allie was the last one to hand out her rose from the new promo video of "Wentworth" season 5. Joan Ferguson is presented in front of her. Other inmates lay down chains that seem to be her weapon to battle the murderer.
From the trailer, Ferguson's downfall might have also been teased as the prison warden backs out of The Freak's side, letting her face the consequences of her crime. With the whole prison also taking the side of Allie, it seems that Ferguson will have a hard time to escape her demise in "Wentworth" season 5.
On the other hand, Kaz Proctor might find it hard to help Allie in her fight, as she will be assigned as the new top dog of the Wentworth Prison. The synopsis states that Kaz will be challenged to take the task of keeping the peace inside the bars. However, with Allie seemingly determined to retaliate, Kaz might have to decide whether she stays neutral and leave her friendship with Bea Smith behind, or use her position to help get rid of Joan Ferguson.
"Wentworth" season 5 has been titled, "Revenge Will Set Them Free", which confirms previous reports that the season will center on Allie Novak's revenge. The all-new installment is set to premiere on April 4 on SoHo.
