John Wall Says DeMarcus Cousins May Play Again With Washington Wizards As Cousins Sits Out Game Against Rockets

If what John Wall stated recently about DeMarcus Cousins is true, then Washington Wizards fans will have a great thing to look forward to. Wall said recently that Cousins told him that he (Cousins) was going to D.C. But the big man also said he does not know what is going to happen next.

Are They Talking About A Trade?

Apparently, the two are talking about an impending trade of Cousins by the New Orleans Pelicans to the Wizards. Wall said they were both shocked at this developing news. The Pelicans hoped that Cousins' pairing with Anthony Davis will bring them to the winners' list. However, they are currently on a 4-7 record since Cousins' acquisition.

On the other hand, the pairing of Wall with Bradley Beal has provided the Wizards the boost in their fight for the Eastern crown. With the addition of Cousins, they will be able to give the Cleveland Cavaliers a run for their money.

DeMarcus Cousins Will Be Benched By The Pelicans

This impending trade might be given more impetus with the injury sustained by Cousins in the Sacramento Kings vs. the Miami Heat match. He collided with James Johnson in Wednesday night's game and had to be escorted to the locker room. The Kings' loss to the Heat is not so much significant as the announcement two hours and 30 minutes later about the extent of Cousins' injury.

Although the MRI on Cousins' knee proved negative, the Kings announced that he will be benched in their next game against the Houston Rockets. Coach Alvin Gentry said Cousins' knee is just sore. However, he would not like to put him at risk so he is letting the big man sit it out in their next game.

Their game against Houston will be the first that Cousins will not see action because of injury. He was averaging 66.2 games per season. Could this be a prelude to Cousins' transferring his locker room to D.C. as predicted by Wall? Perhaps fans will know in the next few games of the Pelicans.
