Samsung Galaxy S8 Hidden Button Details Revealed

With just weeks to go before Samsung reveals its latest flagship device, several new leaks have shown more details about the most anticipated flagship. Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S8 at an event on March 29th in New York, with the device going on sale for next month. Now, a recent photo appears to claim that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to introduce a major design change that could affect how you use your device. A report claims that Galaxy S8 has a Virtual Home Button.

The Galaxy S8 Home Button Could Be Pressure-sensitive

Samsung has removed its Galaxy S8 home button, and if a new report perhaps is true, its virtual home button could come with some neat features. Based on multiple Galaxy S8 rumors circulating the internet, Samsung is opting for a software-based solution instead. According to a source, it would appear that Samsung's working on a 3D Touch sensor into the bottom of the Infinity Display on the much-rumored Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in order to make the "virtual home button" respond to different levels of pressure. This won't be the first time that the company has dabbled with 3D Touch technology. Samsung Display has allegedly been tasked with developing a pressure-sensitive OLED panel for the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 and even produced one for the Huawei P9 last year.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Possible Specs And Features

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor or Exynos 8895 with a 4GB to 6GB RAM. More so, it will come with a 5.8-inch display screen packed with an elongated aspect ratio of 18.5: 9. The Galaxy S8 will also sport a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera with a 3,000 mAh battery capacity. On top of this, aside from being water and dust resistant, it is also expected to come with a rear fingerprint and iris scanner and an AI assistant, Bixby. Samsung will take the wraps off the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus at a dedicated event in New York City on March 29.
