JonTronJafari has been axed by Yooka-Leylee recently because of the racist comments that he made which circulated on the internet. He is a popular YouTuber and the voice actor for the upcoming video game developed by Playtonic. His racist comments have set off a chain reaction of angry comments online.

Many People Got Angry With JonTron

The removal of JonTron's voice acting from Yooka-Laylee Playtonic is apparently the reaction of the game developer to save its upcoming N64-era platformer revival game from the negative fallout coming from game fans. It seems that a lot of people got angry with some of the racist comments he said on the internet. Apparently, he made ethnic comments against Mexicans and Black Americans.

Playtonic Said They Were Opposed To The Comments Made

Reacting to JonTron's racist comments, Yooka-Laylee Playtonic issued a statement that they were made aware of the voice artist's remarks after he has completed his work on the video game. The game developer added that they were opposed to Jafari's sentiments. They added that they don't want their video game to be adversely affected by the fallout.

Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic also said that they were initially happy to welcome JonTron two years ago as a voice actor for their game. However, they were saddened by his recent racist comments that were circulating across the internet. They added that they decided to remove JonTron's voice acting contribution to the game by means of an upcoming patch update.

JonTron Said He Was Just Misconstrued

The official statement from Yooka-Laylee Playtonic reads as "We would like to make absolutely clear that we do not endorse or support JonTron's personal viewpoints and that, as an external fan contributor, he does not represent Playtonic in any capacity." On his part, JonTron Jafari claimed that he was just misunderstood and his comments were taken out of context. He added that he is not really anti-immigrant since he came from a combination of Hungarian and Iranian immigrants.
