Samsung is getting ready to announce its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 tablet very soon. An image and specs of the tablet have leaked online and here are all the details.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, but the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 appears to have thinner bezels and will also reportedly be thinner than the Galaxy Note 8.0. Unlike the Galaxy Note 8.0 the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will not support Samsung's S Pen stylus. The tablet will be offered in two configurations, a Wi-Fi only model and a 3G/Wi-Fi model.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is expected to feature an 8-inch WXGA, 1280×800 TFT display, Android 4.2.2, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, 1.5GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, a 3G model with support for EDGE (850/900/1800/1900) HSPA+42Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps (850/900/1900/2100), microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB cards, 4,450mAh battery, and its dimensions are 209.3 x 122.2 x 6.95 mm.

SAMMOBILE claims that Samsung plans to release the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 sometime in June. If the release date is correct and the rumored Surface mini release date we reported on recently is true, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Surface mini will be hitting store shelves around the same time and will both be going head to head with one another. As always whenever we see leaks of unannounced devices and specs, it it best to file them in the rumor category until we hear something official.
