NFL Trade Rumors: TV Networks Want Tony Romo More Than NFL Teams; Bruce Allen Says Rumors About Cousins Trade Are False

It appears that there is a surprise twist in the current NFL trade rumors circulating around Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys. If other NFL teams seem to be reluctant in signing up the backup quarterback, TV networks seem to be fighting amongst each other enticing Romo with the juiciest offers he can put his hands on. So, Romo will not be left without any job options after all.

TV Networks Are Setting Their Eyes On Romo

Recent NFL trade rumors reveal that the television networks are taking advantage of the seemingly waiting stance being undertaken by the Cowboys in relation to Romo. The backup quarterback still does not know if he is going to be traded to another team or released as a free agent. However, it is unclear if a TV fallback is among Romo's plans at this time.

For now, there are a number of several TV networks willing to sign up Romo as an NFL commentator, if the ongoing NFL trade rumors are true. As of the latest count, the TV companies purportedly willing to hire Romo include FOX and CBS. If the Cowboys eventually release Romo, chances of him going unemployed will be nil, if these rumors are true.

Cousins Trade Rumors Are Completely Untrue

In another NFL front, Bruce Allen, president of the Redskins, is adamantly denying that the NFL trade rumors saying that they are trading Kirk Cousins to interested NFL teams are absolutely false. The Redskins president denied that there is an ongoing rift between his team and the quarterback. He said that he just can't keep up with the rumors and that he had long talks with Kirk and they have laughed off these rumors.

Fans of the league will recall that a lot of NFL trade rumors started going around when it was reported that Cousins is not willing to sign a long-term deal with the Redskins. Apparently, he won't do so as long as Allen is still the president. However, this recent development seems to indicate that even with Allen taking over the GM responsibilities of the Redskins, Cousins will still remain on its roster.
