Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 Ships Earlier Than Expected, Have You Got Yours?

The recently launched Samsung Galaxy S4 has received a lot of attention after its official release and many customers are eagerly waiting to lay their hands on the smartphone. The Verizon Galaxy S4 was initially slated for May 30 release and then the date was pulled up by a week to May 23 and now reports suggest that the Galaxy S4 is already being shipped to some customers.

Sprint and AT&T customers who ordered for the Galaxy S4 have already started receiving their handsets. Now Verizon customers will be happy enough to get the shipment of the device before the original release date.

A CNET report says "So far, I've heard of the phones shipping as early as May 15." The report also shows a shipping screenshot of an email sent to CNET from a tipster.

The Big Red is selling the Galaxy S4 at a price tag of $199.99 on a two-year contract and for $649.99 outright. The handset is currently available only in the 16GB version but in both black and white color options.

The Galaxy S4 has received the attention of millions of customers worldwide and the handset hopes to exceed its predecessor's sales.

The Galaxy S4 packs in top-end features which can put any other handset in its category to shame. The handset is available in both 3G and 4G LTE-ready versions. In the U.S., the handset has a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The handset sports a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display.

The demand for Galaxy S4 has been so high that Canadian carrier TELUS also offered $50 to those customers who pre-ordered and delay taking the shipment of the device.

However, Verizon seems to have done its homework right and is shipping the handset before the original shipping date. If you have ordered for Galaxy S4 via Verizon, have you received the handset?
