Relive The Greatness Of Classic Flyer In This Special Ark: Survival Evolved Mod

When Studio Wildcard released an update to Ark: Survival Evolved, not all fans were pleased. One of the main reasons is the nerf the developers did on flyers (flying dinosaurs basically), all of which received some pretty drastic changes. But hey, there's actually a way to relive the greatness of the classic ones -- through a mod, that is.

Thanks to the aforementioned update, Ark: Survival Evolved flyers were reduced greatly in terms of speed. Heck, the latter was even capped in one way or another. Add to this the fact that there were reductions made on the beasts' carry weight and stamina. This became a hot topic within the community, as some believe that the studio shouldn't have gone to this road.

Interestingly, there's an Ark: Survival Evolved mod that lets players experience the classic flyers in the game. According to PC Gamer, it's called The Classic Flyers mod, which aims to undo everything the patch did. "Brings back the classic flyers we've all known and loved," the mod's page description says. In a sense, the mod gives the flying creatures all its stats prior to the nerf.

Once this Ark: Survival Evolved mod is installed, players can expect the old abilities such as gaining the previous level speed and cap. The mod comes with a set of instructions on how to install it, and it can be accessed here. Apparently, there's a few bugs right then and there, still it's worth a try.

In related Ark: Survival Evolved news, many believed that horse taming in the game actually shares similarities to that of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The recent update of the game brought the new horses called Equus. Its arrival allowed players to experience the thrill of taming them. Interestingly, it's been said that this was added to the game as a homage to the newly released title from Nintendo.
