Pokemon GO Update: Niantic Teases More Major Events Following Eggstravaganza

The latest Pokémon GO event adds yet another batch of twists and surprises to keep players entertained over the holiday. In light of this, Niantic has teased new events that will be making their way to the mobile title soon.

Pokémon GO Updates Bring In New Content

The mobile Pokémon game has received its fair share of updates since its release that provides fans new reasons to keep playing. Similarly, Niantic had just launched a major gen 2 patch that introduced a whole slew of monsters as well as bringing in the Berry system and some new cosmetic items for the player's avatar. They also held a Water Festival event, which brought in the concept of shiny monsters through a golden Magikarp and Red Gyarados.

Now, Niantic has released an Easter event that adds more bonuses over the next few days. Aside from this, Express reports that Niantic is planning on releasing two major updates in the new future that will focus on a new co-op experience.

Possible Features In The New Events

While the developer has yet shared the finer details about the upcoming content, WWG shares that it might have something to do with one of the features teased back in 2015. Going by this, fans should expect the introduction of legendary Pokémon, PvP battles, the highly-anticipated gym overhaul and possibly even gen 3 monsters.

Furthermore, there have been various leaks that players will be able to feed berries to their monsters in the gyms. There will also supposedly be more incentives to owning a gym, which will link to an even wider social system. Niantic might also expand the daily rewards system that will give players an alternative to simply catching monsters.

While it is still unsure to what these new events will be about, Niantic promised even more valuable content to come. For now, fans will just have to wait for further news regarding Pokémon GO.
