Xiaomi Mi 6 vs OnePlus 3T: Which Smartphone Is Worth To Try?
The new Xiaomi Mi 6 packs a lot of improvements over the Mi 5, its predecessor. Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone in China the same season when Samsung has announced its Galaxy S8 flagship in India. However, with regards to price, Xiaomi Mi 6 is more comparable to OnePlus 3T.
Design And Display
Compared to all the existing flagships of mobile makers, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features the smallest display size. Xiaomi's newest smartphone is equipped with a 5.15-inch display. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3T features a 5.5-inch display. Displays on all the two smartphones offer full HD resolution. According to BGR, there is a growing trend of larger display sizes but any size from 5-inches to 5.5-inches is the very practical size for everyday usage.
In terms of the design, the Xiaomi Mi 6 bears striking resemblance to the 3D curved unibody design. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 3T, which is a variant of the OnePlus 3, features a metal unibody design. The design of Xiaomi Mi 6 has a four-sided curved glass screen, with thick bezels from top to bottom. OnePlus 3T has optic AMOLED technology as its predecessor. Its display is further protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is one of the first smartphones to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Other popular smartphones currently released with the chipset is the Galaxy S8, which costs significantly higher than the Mi 6. OnePlus 3T, which is currently the furious favorite in terms of performance-centric smartphones, is provided with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.
Just like Xiaomi Mi 6, OnePlus 3T too runs a customized version of Android. However, OnePlus has recently updated the 3T smartphone to Android 7.0 Nougat. To put it in a simple way, the Xiaomi Mi 6 looks set to offer performance similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the price of OnePlus 3T.
Camera, Battery, And Storage
According to Indian Express, Xiaomi has added a dual 12-megapixel camera setup on the back of Mi 6, featuring wide-angle and telephoto lenses. On the front part, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 7-megapixel front-facing shooter. In comparison to the Mi 6, OnePlus’ camera is fairly standard. The 3T variant has a 16-megapixel shooter with optical and electronic image stabilization while bears a 16-megapixel shooter on the front.
Xiaomi Mi 6's battery is 3,350mAh, which the company claims to last a day on a single charge. It also packs a USB Type-C port and Quick Charge 4.0. On the other hand, OnePlus 3T gets a 3400mAh battery with dash charging support. Both smartphones feature non-removable batteries.
In terms of storage, the Mi 6 comes with variants of 64GB and 128GB. While OnePlus sells the 3T in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The biggest difference between the two smartphone devices is the presence of the headphone jack. OnePlus 3T supports a 3.5mm headphone jack but there is no headphone jack on the Mi 6.
With the provided information on the Xiaomi Mi 6 and OnePlus 3T, which smartphone do you think is worth to try? Spec wise, Xiaomi Mi6 is leading among the two devices. However, when the price is to be considered, OnePlus 3T is the best choice.
