Nokia Put An End To Crap VR Videos With Its OZO Updates
Today, Nokia has announced that it is doubling down on its 360-degree OZO VR, creating a platform around the camera and partnering with some big names. This collaboration will mean a better quality of virtual reality experiences for all of us. Tarif Sayed, Nokia's head of VR technologies, said that partners have been demanding for ways to create better VR experiences and broadcasts. for users.
Nokia has invested most of its time and effort to building out its communication businesses across the globe. The firm has also been throwing some early struggles behind high-end VR capture through its oddly beautiful $40,000 OZO VR camera. According to TechCrunch, Nokia is now planning to deliver a major update to its “OZO Reality Platform."
The big update will give the producers the ability to capture, edit and live stream virtual reality footages in a cohesive package. Nokia has delivered some firmware updates to its VR camera, which is now called as the OZO+. The tech firm gives the product some new image processing quips and the ability to export depth maps so users who are capturing using VR can begin to explore with “mixed reality” storytelling.
Along with the updates, Nokia also introduced the OZO Storytellers program in order to attract more content creators, as well as enthusiasts. Through the said feature, authors of a certain story can reach “broad range of audiences" which includes partners throughout Nokia’s ecosystem amidst their footage. Storytellers will also provide valuable and helpful feedback to the company, essentially telling Nokia if there is future in the project, as reported by GSMArena.
Furthermore, Nokia is expected to produce brighter, sharper images and higher resolutions for all the users. The 360-degre OZO VR is also expected to have the ability to easily add infographics, improved support for 3D spatial sound and much more. Nokia's main goal is to set a high standard for VR production and for broadcasts, as well. With this update, it is now possible for filmmakers and production companies to do everything they need to produce great VR contents.
