It seems Activision is ratcheting up the interest of players in its Destiny 2 franchise with its latest undertaking. The game publisher has teamed up with Funko and Razer, both established leaders in their field. Apparently, they are bringing the iconic characters of the game to life.

Activision Is Hyping Up Destiny 2

In a statement posted in its official blog post, Activision admitted that it is partnering with several companies, the most famous ones being Funko and Razer. Apparently, this is in connection with the promotion of Destiny 2. Funko is a leading maker of pop vinyl licensed toys for Marvel, Lucas Films, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, NBA, Walking Dead, Hasbro and much more.

Razer, on the other hand, is a world leader in the manufacture of video gaming hardware, systems, and software. With Activision completing the partnership, fans can expect some exciting things that will happen to Destiny 2. It is rumored that the iconic characters of the game will be brought to life by these third-party manufacturers.

Funko Will Give Life To Cayde-6, Ikora Rey And Others

Activision's blog post clearly revealed what Funko would do with Destiny 2. The game publisher said Funko would turn the characters of the story such as Cayde-6, Ikora Rey, and Commander Zavala and other supporting characters into Pop! Vinyl form. These goodies will be made available to fans of the game in August, at select retailers.

Razer Will Make Hardware And Accessories

Meanwhile, Razer's part is to manufacture several computer accessories and hardware based on Destiny 2. Activision says these will include the Razer Goliathus Speed mouse mat, the Razer DeathAdder Elite mouse, the Razer Man O' War Tournament Edition headset and the Razer Ornata Chroma Keyboard. Razer will make Destiny versions of these items that will also be available to gamers this fall.

Apparently, Activision is undertaking this project in preparation for Destiny 2's launch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One this year. The game publisher proudly says that its merchandising program is growing and the franchise evolving. It hints that in the future, these merchandise items may even include apparel, accessories, and electronics.
