'NASCAR Heat 2' Update: Game's Release Date Unveiled, Cover Athlete Voting Poll Revealed

There is no doubt that NASCAR Heat 2 is one of the most highly anticipated titles of recent memory. Interestingly, developer 704Games is all prep up to release the game this year. Here is everything about this upcoming title in a nutshell.

According to IGN, the studio has just revealed the official release date of NASCAR Heat 2. It is slated to arrive in North America come Sept. 12 this year, with a promise of interesting features and/or modes. It is worth noting that the video game company will be launching the game exactly a year after NASCAR Heat Evolution.

The aforementioned title is built around the core of the title from last year. But of course, there will be added changes and improvements. Among these is the so-called "enhanced online multiplayer," a brand new, deeper career mode and more track updates. The forthcoming game is also expected to offer additional in-game drivers, along with features specifically designed for the NASCAR-sanctioned national series formats.

TrueAchievements reports that the cover athlete for NASACAR Heat 2 will be chosen directly from the 704Games' official site. This is because players will be given the chance to vote for their favorite Toyota driver. This is slated to commence come May 20. The studio also went to release a short teaser, which is embedded below, for the titular All-Star race.

The above-mentioned gig from the video game company is in partnership with the titular car manufacturer. It is worth noting that the two top racers from the voting will move forward to the final round, which will be held during the existence of Stage 2 of the Monster Energy All-Star Race. With only a day and few hours left, players might want to go straight to the site and vote for their favorite driver. Well, it is now or never really.
