He may no longer work on Android or at Google, however, Rubin is ready to innovate in the smartphone market. Announced today, the Essential is a modern approach to making Android devices. This new top-end Android smartphone is here to convince users not to get Galaxy S8 this year and reports claim, Essential is similar to Google Pixel XL but more powerful.

Essential Smartphone

The Essential phone is made to compete with the best smartphones this year. The Essential Phone sports an edge-to-edge-display. Powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB of RAM, 128GB storage, a 19:10 Quad HD display. Under the hood is a 3,040mAh battery. Essential Smartphone can take on the likes of any high-end phones in the market today. Pricewise, users can expect to pay $699.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. Sporting a 12-megapixel dual pixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus snapper for selfies. The Galaxy S8 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC in the US, and Exynos 8895 SoC for the international. Samsung powerhouse device is matched with 4GB of RAM and with 64GB inbuilt storage, that supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 256GB. Price is playing around $750-$850 depending on the variant.

Google Pixel XL

The Google Pixel XL comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels. Powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. Sporting a 12.3-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front snapper for selfies. The Google Pixel XL runs Android 7.1. Keeping the power on is a 3450mAh nonremovable battery and also supports Quick charging. For what you pay, you'll get one of the best smartphone cameras in available today.

The Verdict

Essential Smartphone is clearly the winner, as powerful as Samsung Galaxy S8 but in lesser price. As premium as Google Pixel XL but only fresher and new.
