'Prehistoric Planet' Will Take You Back Millions of Years Ago

According to 9to5Mac, "Prehistoric Planet," a revolutionary new dinosaur docuseries narrated by David Attenborough, integrates the latest scientific understanding with cutting-edge visual effects.

The "Prehistoric Planet" depicts diverse creatures in Earth's ecosystems 65 million years ago in the same way current scientific studies show.

The series is expected to offer breathtaking cinematography of nature and animals as it was executive produced by Jon Favreau and produced by the makers of Planet Earth.

"Prehistoric Planet" is a five-part series that will premiere this week, with one episode broadcast each day from Monday to Friday.

Each episode focuses on a new biome and a different group of dinosaurs. Water, desert, ice, and woodland landscapes are all featured in the show.

Who Was a Part of the 'Prehistoric Planet' Series?

As previously mentioned, the Apple TV+ docuseries is narrated by David Attenborough, who has also presented several other natural history and animal documentaries. As per National World, after "Easter's Dinosaurs: The Final Day," which was about the Tanis fossil graveyard and the extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs, "Prehistoric Planet" is his second dinosaur-focused series this year.

Aside from Jon Favreau, Mike Gunton, a BBC Natural History Unit producer, was also an executive producer on this series. Gunton has worked on a number of similar shows in the past, including "The Green Planet," "Dynasties," and "Planet Earth II."

Renowned paleontologists and scientific illustrators were consultants on the series to ensure the show's scientific rigor. They included Darren Naish ("Primeval"), Stephen Brusatte ("Walking With Dinosaurs"), and Gabriel Ugueto ("Extinct").

Meanwhile, the score was provided by the legendary Hans Zimmer ("Inception").
