Walmart PS5 restock on June 2 is hours away from now, which gives fans of the next-generation Sony PlayStation a chance to get their hands on the gaming console at a rare retail price.

The upcoming Walmart restock is the first-ever supply replenishment of PS5 standard edition and Digital Edition consoles for the month of June.
PS5 Restock
Although the PS5 has been debuted for a time now since it first saw the light of day in Nov. 2020, its stocks remain to be a rare sighting these days.
As a result, PS5 restocks have become a much-awaited event, which gaming fans -- as well as scalpers -- are excitedly looking forward to.
The supply of the latest PlayStation has become relatively low, no thanks to the raging chip crisis and hoarders. On the other hand, the demand for Sony consoles continues to skyrocket.

Thus, the notoriously limited supply of PS5 has been struggling to keep up with the customers waiting to get their hands on it for two years now.
On top of that, Sony recently admitted that the ongoing supply issues on the PS5 are unlikely to stabilize this year.
According to a recent report by Game Rant, the Japanese tech giant predicts that the whole supply chain mess is likely to affect PS5 stocks up until 2024.
Walmart PS5 Restock on June 2
The giant retailer, Walmart, is restocking its PS5 console shelves on June 2, Thursday, at exactly 3 pm Eastern Time, as per a news story by USA Today.
It gives Walmart customers a rare chance to cop the flagship PS5 console, which comes with a disc drive for a retail price of $499.

It is worth noting that PS5 consoles are available elsewhere online through a couple of scalpers out there, but it comes at stratospherical price tags.
On the other hand, retailers like Walmart and GameStop give their customers a chance to snatch one of the hottest gaming consoles for its original cost since it launched in 2020.
Unlike the recent PS5 restock on GameStop, which requires customers to line up in their brick and mortar stores, Walmart sells the sought-after consoles online.
The website for the restock is already up, but it has yet to open for orders.

Walmart+ Subscription: Do You Need it
The PS5 restock is exclusively available to subscribers of Walmart+.
That said, buyers will have to sign up for the service to place their orders for the upcoming restock. It only costs roughly $13 a month.
Walmart+ is not solely for PS5 restock, it provides bargain discounts for other products as well.
