You can now grab the Nokia Lumia 620 at a reduced price of only $99.99 from Aio Wireless.
The Lumia 620 launched in Dec. 2012 and started to make its way to various Asian and European countries from January this year. The handset also reached the U.S. via AT&T's subsidiary brand Aio Wireless in May at a price tag of $179.99.
"Today we're happy to announce that the colorful and critically acclaimed Nokia Lumia 620 is finally coming to the U.S. Available now on Aio Wireless, the Nokia Lumia 620 will bring a fully featured smartphone at a price that will be attractive to a whole new audience," noted Nokia Conversations, the official blog of the Finnish company, when the Lumia 620 made its debut in the U.S.
If you looking to buy the Windows Phone 8 (WP8)-powered Lumia 620 you can now get a discount of $80 as Aio is selling the handset for just $99.99 for limited time only.
However, Aio Wireless' services are currently available only in limited regions, which include Houston, Texas and Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Florida. Aio Wireless is planning to start its nationwide services in the near term, but for now customers living outside these regions will not be able to get their hands on the Lumia 620 smartphone.
AT&T's prepaid service, GoPhone, is currently selling the Nokia Lumia 520 at a price tag of $99.99. Both the Lumia 520 and the Lumia 620 are placed in the entry-level market segment, but the Lumia 620 has slightly improved hardware specifications. With both the handsets having the same price tag, many customers may tend to go for the Lumia 620.
The Nokia Lumia 620 sports a 3.8-inch ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 246 pixels per inch (ppi). The handset measures 4.54 x 2.41 x 0.43 inches and weighs 4.48 ounces.
The smartphone has 8GB of on-board storage capacity and the option to expand the memory up to a further 64GB using a microSD card. A 1GHz dual-core SnapDragon S4 processor powers the smartphone. The handset is also equipped with a 5-megapixel primary camera and VGA secondary camera.
Lumia handsets are well-known for the vibrant colors they are available in. Customers who want to buy the Lumia 620 can choose from four vibrant colors: cyan, purple, yellow and lime.
