Game Expansion Caused 'Sims 4' Issues, Patch Was Deployed to Fix It

In the end of July, the Sims 4 High School Years expansion arrived. However, the new pack is a mess.

Players, even those who didn't buy the expansion, experienced the mess since the pack updated the base game with new features, according to PC Gamer. Unfortunately, it brought with it a lot of bugs.

The good news is a patch was already deployed hoping to fix the bugs and resolve the icky problems caused by the bugs.

The incest bug became part of the game out of the wants and fears system. This has been re-introduced from past Sims titles. Now, with the new patch, this issue was already resolved.

Another bug which is unrelated but similar to the first one arose from the High School Years update. This bug caused adult sims to tag teenagers in inappropriately in flirty Social Bunny posts. This problem was also fixed.

A bug causing rapid aging, which also arose from the update, was already fixed. This saw the sims rapidly aging, sometimes in reverse. This is observed in games where the lifespan was set to Long or Short, instead of the default Normal lifespan.

According to the patch notes, the patch also corrected bugs involving sims travelling. Now, all available Sims can now be chosen for travel. This is even if the sims are currently not on the current lot.

In the Get Famous expansion, the patch resolved issues of sims suddenly having famous status. Now, sims who do not have Fame no longer occasionally appear to have it.

As part of the High School Years expansion, the sims can now "walk through the I Was a Teenage Garbage Artist pile of clutter," as per Game Spot.
