Death Stranding will soon come to the PC Game Pass.

Microsoft's official PC Game Pass Twitter account has recently announced that Hideo Kojima's action adventure "strand" game will arrive on Microsoft's PC Game Pass next week.

Death Stranding was previously released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2019 before it was released for the PC a year later, per The Verge.

Death Stranding PC Game Pass Inclusion Details

 Microsoft mentioned in its tweet on its official PC Game pass Twitter account that Kojima's latest game since Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and the canceled Silent Hills, Death Stranding, will launch with PC Game Pass next week, specifically on Aug. 23.

Thanks to the game's upcoming release on the PC Game Pass, PC gamers can expect features such as ultrawide mode, photo mode, high frame rate, and cross-over content from popular franchises.

In addition to the previously mentioned features, PC gamers can also expect to acquire unlockable items such as Chiral Gold / Omnireflector "Ludens Mask" Sunglasses and Gold and Silver Power Skeleton as they progress through the story.

The Gold and Silver All-Terrain Skeleton and Gold and Silver Armor Plate will also be included as unlockable items.

However, this does not mean that Death Stranding will soon arrive on Xbox game consoles. Sony still has some control over where the game goes.

As such, the possibility of seeing Death Stranding running on Xbox game consoles is next to zero.

Despite the game not coming to Xbox game consoles, Microsoft's PC Game Pass' official Twitter account has teased many times about the game's arrival. It has changed its profile picture with images depicting scenes from the game multiple times this week.

Kojima was also noted to have partnered with Xbox Studios on a mysterious new game that may or may not be Overdose, which is a horror game starring Margaret Qualley, who plays "mama" in Death Stranding, according to a separate report from The Verge.

Microsoft stated that questions regarding the game's release on the PC Game Pass will be addressed in a future Community Q&A guide and that people should keep a close eye on 505 Games and Kojima Productions' social media channels for more information.

Death Stranding Details And Features

Death Stranding is an action-adventure "strand" game developed by Hideo Kojima following his split from Konami in early 2015.

According to the game's PlayStation page, the game is set in the near future, with the world filled with mysterious explosions setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding.

The game's story focuses on one Sam Porter Bridges, who must travel across the ravaged wasteland and save humanity from annihilation and reunite the shattered world one step at a time, per IMDb.

The game also emphasizes the importance of connections or "strands" as Kojima calls them. According to the Death Stranding official website, the strand is the unifying idea behind the game's elements ranging from its story to its gameplay. It allows the game's players to connect with each other worldwide, giving them a way to donate resources or rebuild structures together.
