We're calling it #TheSteamSix and, as you may have already guessed from the name, it's all about the countless games that you can find on Steam. For the first entry in the #TheSteamSix series, we have a rundown of six things you should know if you're planning on trying out the party-based storytelling RPG Wildermyth.
1. Wildermyth Basic Facts
According to the game's Steam page, Wildermyth was released on June 16, 2021. It is developed by Worldwalker Games LLC and published by the same developer as well as WhisperGames.
As previously mentioned, Wildermyth is a party-based storytelling RPG. Its official website notes that the game that game will remind of you tabletop roleplaying.
2. What Wildermyth is All About
Per the official website, you as the player will have to "lead a band of heroes as they grow from reluctant farmers into unique, legendary fighters."
There is combat in the game and you will have to go up against strange monsters. What takes the combat up to the next level are the interactive battlefields that they take place in.

3. Your Choices Matter in the Game
It should be noted that each hero in the story has his or her own personality, appearance, and history. These, however, can change throughout the course of the game as they form relationships and battle enemies.
The choices you make in the game likewise play a significant role as they shape how your character will be like and how the story unfolds for you.

4. You Can Customize Your Hero
To simply put, you can change your character's appearance, history, name, and many more.
You also get to choose from a wide range of combat ambilities your hero can have. You can opt for offensive or defensive tactics. You can even give your hero the ability to fling fire from a nearby lamp at an opponent.
5. There is Cooperative Multiplayer
Wildermyth does support cooperative multiplayer gaming and is actually recommended for up to five players.
However, players should take note that "in a typical campaign, you start with three heroes and pick up the fourth and fifth along the way." The game also supports Steam Remote Play.
6. Wildermyth has an Overwhelmingly Positive Rating on Steam
As of press time, Wildermyth has more than 12,000 reviews on Steam. These reviews are generally described as Overwhelmingly Positive by the platform.
