Ford Unveils the Mustang 2024 with Gas Powered Engines, Redesigned Features

Ford unveiled a new Mustang for 2024.

The Ford Motor Company released a new model of the Mustang in electric form, known as the Mustang Mach-E.

However, despite the intensive focus and effort of the company to transition into the electric vehicle market, it has unveiled a new Mustang that is powered by gas.

The 2024 Mustang, which will be produced at a plant in metropolitan Detroit, will go on sale in the U.S. next summer.

For the past few years, one of America's largest car companies has focused into producing electric cars for its users to choose from and allotted a large amount of its capital to that venture.

On the other hand, its initiatives in transitioning into EVs was met with continuous success based on the sales and revenue that the company is getting in that department.

With the introduction of the 2024 Mustang, a lot are wondering why the car company has shifted back into producing gas powered cars.

Ford Introduces the Mustang 2024

Ford has been asked about what appears to be a backward trajectory from electric batteries to gas powered engines. The company stated that the newly redesigned Mustang 2024 is part of the company's plan for its muscle car family.

Ford stated that another gas powered car will be part of the plan to offer both types of vehicles as options to its customers.

According to CNBC, the head of Mustang Marketing, Jim Owens, stated, "We know customers do want that internal combustion and some of them want the electric and we offer both in that Mustang family."

The current demand for gas powered cars still exists today despite the continuous shift of other consumers to EVs. With that, Ford originally planned to design their next vehicle as a hybrid variant of both, but it has not yet seen the light of day. However, the company has scrapped the idea.

Ford has released three electric vehicles so far, the E-Transit, the F-150 Lightning, and the Mustang Mach-E. The Mustang Mach-E was Ford's first electric vehicle, and it was introduced to the public in December 2020.

According to Bloomberg, despite the introduction of the Mustang 2024, which is its 7th generation, the gas powered version of their vehicle will be outsold by their own Mach-E.

Ford Mustang 2024 Features

Ford is adding a modern touch to its new Mustang 2024. The Mustang was last redesigned in 2015, but the newest model will have more edginess to it, adapting to modern taste.

The Mustang 2024 will have its front end and rear end both redesigned, but the profile of the vehicle as a whole, as well as its overall dimensions, will be comparable to the latest generation of the car.

CNBC stated, "The most obvious changes to the seventh-generation Mustang are on the interior of the vehicle: most notably, a 13.2-inch center touchscreen and an accompanying 12.4-inch driver information cluster."

In addition, the four-cylinder and the V-8 engines in the existing Mustang have been upgraded in this model.

During the introduction of the new vehicle, the company did not yet reveal how powerful this car would be or what its other features would be. However, the Mustang 2024 will come equipped with two significant new additions.

One of these capabilities is known as the "Remote Rev" feature, and it gives owners the ability to remotely rev the engine of their vehicle using the key fob.

The second additional feature is an "Electronic Drift Brake," which makes drift braking significantly simpler.
