5 Things That Make Quantum of the Seas a Tech Nerd's Paradise

The Quantum of the Seas is considered one of the most high-tech cruise ships in the world and for good reason. Here are five things that you can find on the cruise ship that will delight any tech nerd passenger it has:

The Quantum of the Seas Has Robot Bartenders

Yes, you read that right. You will find robots on Quantum of the Seas. According to an article by Condé Nast Traveler, the cruise ship is home to the world's first robot bartenders known as B1-0 and N1-C. You can find them at the Bionic Bar by Makr Shakr.

As the article narrates, "Each robot can mix two drinks per minute using an array of 30 spirits, 21 mixers, eight sodas, six juices, three syrups as well as an assortment of sugar, mint, lemons, and limes."

All you have to do is use the tablet found on each table to place you order and B1-0 and N1-C will do all the work. You just have to sit back, relax, and wait for your drink.

Some Staterooms Have Virtual Balconies

Tech-loving guests may want to end up staying in a stateroom that offers a virtual balcony. Computerworld notes that these virtual balconies can be turned on and off anytime, and guests can even change the volume.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, "Cameras stationed throughout the ship broadcast real-time images back to these cabins so your virtual balcony provides as realistic as possible view of your voyage."

Environment-Friendly Tech

In its article, Cruise International points out some of the tech that Quantum of the Seas has that can be considered friendly to the environment.

One of which is the low-energy LED or fluorescent lighting that the cruise ship has. She also has energy saving devices, including motion sensors.

Personalized Service

Ever wondered how the staff seems to know you and your preferences very well? It is because staff members actually have tablets that contain apps where they take note of the likes and dislikes of their guests.

That makes it easier for the staff to track dietary requirements of their guests and even birthdays.

Yes, There is Wi-Fi on the Ship

Those who do not like to go on cruises often point out the lack of wi-fi when out at sea as one of the reasons why they prefer to travel some other way. Well, you will not have that issue with Quantum of the Seas. That is because you can easily access the Wi-Fi while onboard.

A constellation of satelltites provide the ship with Wi-Fi. It may not be much of a surprise, but you do have to pay in order to use social media or watch Netflix or YouTube.
