TAG Heuer, the famous Swiss luxury watchmaker, recently collaborated with Nintendo to bring the latest Mario Kart luxury watch with a price tag of $25,600. But according to CNET, there is a cheaper version priced at $4,300.

The new luxury watches from the two collaborators take inspiration from the new game of Mario series, Nintendo's hit racing game, Mario Kart.

Luxury Watches Are Expected to Go on Sale Next Week

The new luxury watches come with a chronograph (44mm) and tourbillon (45mm). Both of them are part of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 lineup, as per CNET.

These watches with Mario Kart references are limited editions, with only 3,000 pieces available of the chronograph version. Meanwhile, the stunning tourbillon version will only be available in 250 pieces.

According to TAG Heuer, the $25,600 chronograph tourbillon model is crafted using grade 5 titanium. The look of the watch is sporty but quite refined.

The more expensive Mario Kart watch comes with a polished bezel with the Mario Kart name. According to GameSpot, the watch has a creative dial featuring moving Mario Kart-themed pieces such as Bullet Bill, a blue shell, and Mario himself.

Custom sapphire glass makes up the back of the watch, which means you can see the inside of the watch. Black calfskin leader makes up the watch's strap. It comes with a folding titanium logo sporting the "M" logo that stands for Mario Kart.

On the other hand, you can find the Mario Kart logo in multiple places on the less expensive chronograph watch. On the smaller dials, you can find Mario racing his kart on the hour hand.

Instead of sapphire glass, it has a stainless steel backing. Calfskin leather with red stitching makes up the watch strap.

TAG Heuer Previously Collaborated With Nintendo

"We are excited to reveal the two latest pieces born from our collaboration with Nintendo," said Frédéric Arnault, the CEO of TAG Heuer said, as cited by Pocket-lint.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection was an ideal match for mechanical Mario Kart limited editions because of its modern and playful personality.

"The TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Editions expertly mix fun gaming references that will delight fans of Mario Kart around the world, with refined and high performing timekeeping," Arnault further added.

This isn't the first time that TAG Heuer has collaborated with Nintendo. Last year, they worked on a Super Mario version of its Connected smartwatch.

In addition, for Super Mario's 30^th anniversary, TAG Heuer and Nintendo also collaborated on a limited edition piece.

Now, the two companies are back at it again as they partnered to bring the two chronograph luxury watches to delighted Super Mario fans.
