1. 'Superman'

Richard Donner combined cutting-edge special effects with humor in what seems to be a movie that set a standard for every comic book movie that followed, as per WIRED. Christopher Reeve looks so good in the "Superman" suit you'll think there'll be no better actor suited for the role.

Kal-El was sent to Earth from Krypton as a baby and got adopted by a Kansas couple. The couple is aware of their son's superhuman abilities. Thus, they do their best to help him blend in.

He was raised as Clark Kent (Reeve). Later on, he works as a reporter having a major crush on his clumsy colleague Lois Lane. As the story develops, the planet is threatened by Lex and Kent as Superman fights to save Earth while struggling to maintain his secret identity.

2. 'Wonder Woman'

DCEU just paved the way for female dominance with the movie adaptation of "Wonder Woman," according to TechRadar.  It might have taken a while to make the film happen, but it was the first-ever superhero movie featuring a female protagonist (Gal Gadot) and directed by a woman (Patty Jenkins).

The movie may have taken place in the present day, but it's a recollection of World War I. This is set at a time when American women didn't even have the right to vote. However, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot) manages to show that women can also do something great as she showed bravery during the height of the war.

You'll find a few laughs in Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins." This dark movie on revenge paints a detailed picture of what prompted Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) to wear a Batsuit and becomes a vigilante.

In the film, Bale is supported by a powerhouse cast of costars, which include Michael Caine as his doting butler Alfred, Gary Oldman as Gotham police commissioner Jim Gordon, and Morgan Freeman as his go-to gadget-maker Lucius Fox.

There's also the consummate scene-stealer Tom Wilkinson as mob boss Carmine Falcone, and Cillian Murphy as an evil psychopharmacologist.

4. 'V for Vendetta'

James McTeigue managed to successfully translate comics legend Alan Moore's moody style into a movie in "V for Vendetta."

In the movie, you'll meet Hugo Weaving or V, an anarchist in a Guy Fawkes mask. He is trying to overthrow England's new fascist-like regime with the help of Evey (Natalie Portman). Evey is so committed to the cause that it eventually overpowers her personal feelings of right versus wrong.

5. 'Watchmen'

"Watchmen" is an American superhero thriller film. It is based on the 1986-1987 DC Comics limited series. The film was directed by Zack Snyder while the screenplay was written by David Hayter and Alex Tse.
