‘The Lord of the Rings’ Trilogy is Coming Back to Netflix in February

Good news for "The Lord of the Rings" or LOTR fans out there, the trilogy is returning to Netflix this February, providing Netflix subscribers a chance to binge "The Fellowship of the Ring," "The Two Towers," and "The Return of the King."

Traveling Back to Middle-Earth

Some were sad to hear that the movies were removed from the streaming service. The three films were never on Netflix at the same time. This time, it will all be returning all at once. Netflix announced the news on Twitter, stating that it will be available by February 1st.

The last time one of the films was on Netflix was way back in March 2020. It was made available for watching on HBO Max as it launched. It's still not clear whether Netflix will show the standard or extended version of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel adaptations, which HBO Max both has.

If you're hoping that the "Ring of Power," which is a "Lord of the Rings" show that started in 2022 would also be shown on Netflix, it's highly unlikely.  The show is produced by Amazon, so it's probably going to stay exclusive for the company's Prime Video streaming service.

It's probably best to binge on Prime Video. Not only is the "Rings of Power" exclusive to them, but they also have all three movies from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, as well as all "The Hobbit" movies. If you only have a Netflix subscription, at least you can watch the LOTR trilogy.
