Canva New AI-Powered Tools Details

Canva mentioned in its Create Virtual event that the new brand management products and AI-powered design tools it introduced would make creating content more accessible to those without professional design experience, per The Verge

The company also added in a blog post that the new features and tools focus on how users design their content, allowing them to make them more customized and more on-brand than ever before while also being "immensely fun to use."

Let's start with Canva's new AI-powered tools, which the company launched last year. The company introduced the expansion of two of these in its Create virtual event, namely Canva's Text to Image and Magic Write Tools, which allow users to generate images based on a few words or phrases and even make writing content faster.

The company mentioned it expanded its Magic Write tool by bringing it to every type of design Canva offers, from websites to presentations, videos, and even whiteboards.

The tool can also generate content based on existing text with a simple prompt, allowing users to expand, summarize, or rewrite text using a prompt or two.

As such, users can turn a long document into an executive summary, broaden a sentence into a paragraph for an essay, and even change the content's tone. It can also autofill a semi-finished design by generating text to complete it.

Meanwhile, Canva's Text to Image AI-powered tool can now generate images with a resolution of over 2K at more than half the speed it previously could. The company also added more than 1- creative new images styles for users to utilize whenever they wish across all languages.

Canva even built a multi-layered set of mechanisms to improve trust and safety.

Canva New Features

Aside from its newly improved AI-powered tools, Canva also introduced various new features to help workplaces' content creation process. For instance, its new Assistant features let users search for design elements and provide quick access to Canva's AI-powered tools, per Tech Crunch.

The new Assistant tool can even recommend designs on graphics and styles that match the existing design in users' content. Meanwhile, its new Magic Design and Edit feature lets users choose from a curated selection of personalized templates based on an uploaded image and add or replace something in one, respectively.

Canva also has a new Magic Eraser that cleans unwanted details in images by brushing over an area. Meanwhile, its new Beat Sync feature automatically matches video footage to users' chosen soundtrack, much like Snapchat's Song Syncing.

Additionally, Canva's new translate tool automatically translates text in designs to over 100 languages. Last but not least is its new Magic Replace tool that lets users quickly update brand assets like logos across their designs on the platform.
